Kaushik Raha is Vice President of Content Transformation and Health Analytics at Elsevier. The mission of his organization is to enrich and transform Elsevier’s content using data science and domain knowledge to support and enhance products and platform capabilities in Health & Life Sciences. He heads a global team of data scientists and domain experts overseeing the development and deployment of data science and AI-first solutions to enhance Elsevier's healthcare, health education, life sciences, and pharma solutions. Prior to joining Elsevier, he headed the Emerging Analytics and Advanced Visualizations group within Janssen Data Sciences at Johnson & Johnson (J&J), which focused on predictive analytics and advanced visualization solutions to solve problems within J&J’s pharmaceutical value chain. Kaushik holds more than a decade of experience in top-tier pharmaceutical companies including J&J and GSK. He started his career at GSK, where he was part of drug discovery teams that developed the FDA-approved drug MEKINIST and other clinical trial candidates.

A Penn State University and All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) alumnus, Kaushik earned a PhD in computational chemistry and chemical biology and holds three patents, and has co-authored numerous publications. He has been honored with numerous prestigious awards and received fellowships including the Platinum Encore Leadership Award at Janssen, the BITE (Biopharmaceuticals Innovation Technology Excellence) Award at GSK, Exceptional Science awards at GSK, the LSC Fellowship at Penn State, and the DBT Fellowship at AIIMS.
